www.openmetadir.org is the official homepage for OM2 (openmetadir v2), an open source meta-directory framework.

Most of the development of OM2 is has so far been done within the confines of a Swedish cooperation between now four major Swedish Universities (Linköping, Stockholm, Umeå and Uppsala) and the Swedish Middleware Initiative (www.swami.se). But we encourage other organizations or persons to join us in our endeavor.

The outcome of the project will be: design documentation and multiple implementations of the main parts of the system.

The goal is to allow the participating organizations to build their next Identity Management System using OM2 as a main component. As a side effect we also aim at making a "black-box" implementation suitable for usage by for instance a small University.
